What Is In A Name?

The popular ‘City Plaza’ retail stores in Al Khuwair turned ‘Centrepoint’ as part of its branding exercise, and the group opened its second outlet in Ruwi last week. I don’t understand why business groups go in for name/logo changes when the company is performing extremely well.

On the other hand, the highly successful Lulu Group has the dumbest logo and name I’ve ever come across. They continue to open new hypermarkets all over the Middle East every six months. Do we say they care two hoots for branding/positioning?
