I am a big time soccer aficionado. Real Madrid and Chelsea are my favourite European clubs. Though Chelsea bagged their second premiership title in succession last year, Real disappointed after a series of lacklustre performances. This year, Real has some new names to boast and have already showing their class in the Spanish and Champions league. I hope this time around they won’t disappoint me.

Being a soccer fanatic, I managed to visit the Santiago Bernabeu (Real Madrid Stadium) in Madrid, Spain, during an official last November. We opted for a 30-minute guided tour of the stadium that was priced at 9 euros per person. We were told the club earns lion’s share of its revenue via guided tours and selling paraphernalia bearing players names. No wonder Real Madrid is rated the richest club in the world.
