Herbal Pizza is no junk, claims Pizza Muscat

(Update: Post title changed to Pizza Muscat)

Pizza Muscat launched a delightfully different product – Herbal Pizza – at their Shatti Al Plaza outlet here on Tuesday.

To a question about what was the need to create a new product like Herbal pizza, Chakravorty said: “First of all we wanted to come up with something new and different for our customers. Then and more importantly we wanted to change the mindset of people. Usually pizza is frowned upon by health fads who label it as a junk food. But we want to demonstrate that with the addition of herbs like parsley, basil (Tulsi) and oregano that are kneaded into the dough for the pizza base, that pizzas can make a healthy, light and nutritious meal with absolutely no side-effects. (more)

What is the logic behind discriminating poison into good poison and bad poison? Thankfully, they didn’t get a doctor to say how parsley, basil and oregano can be a deadly combo to decrease cholesterol levels.

Not a soul in sight

The stretch along Wadi Kabir-Sheraton Hotel signal sums up the picture. At 3.30pm, traffic curbs are still in place, which means convoys of AGCC rulers have not reached the final destination. I watched a couple of convoys moving, and it looks straight from a Hollywood action flick — quite a sight (I shall not go into operational details).

Sheraton Hotel signal, which is normally buzzing with activity 24×7, wears a deserted look.

ATM = Any Time Misery

I have been to this BankMuscat ATM in MBD (near Khimji’s Mart) three times last week, and during all the three occasions, the kiosk was out of order. By the looks of it, the ATM has been ‘down’ for some days now. People walk in, press a few keys, and walk back dejected. There has been no effort to say the machine is ‘out-of-order’ or ‘sorry-for-inconvenience’ either. BankMuscat boats of largest network of ATMs in the Sultanate, but what is the use of vast network if the existing ones are badly maintained / don’t serve the purpose. Customer care, anyone?
